Please note, this mechanism is suitable for most Mk1 Trafics which had the rear lock barrel mounted in the door (just next to the outer handle). If you have this setup then this mechanism will fit your vehicle. However, some of the very early models in the 80s had the rear lock barrel located in the handle, rather than in the door. If you have this early type then the mechanism in this listing will not work with your door unfortunately.
It is quite common on original mechanisms for the locking part to wear over time, resulting in a 'wobbly' outer handle when locked. If you have this symptom then replacing this mechanism will help to solve this issue.
