Brand new reverse idler gear, fits on the reverse selector shaft and engages with the main shaft and 3rd/4th lay gear selector sleeve.
This gear is held in place on the shaft via two very tight dowel pins, and care must be taken not to damage the shaft as you can easily bend it if not careful. Ideally a special tool is required to hold it whilst using an hydraulic press.
I've also found that the top of these can sometimes need ever so slightly grinding back to allow for a smooth fit between the two pins.
Not suitable for the automatic transmission.
